White Chicks & Gang Signs
March 16, 2007
You know this is something you see all the time and drives me crazy everytime. Even when white guys flash the gang signs makes me think…TOOL. If you’re a suburbanite, especially a white chick suburbanite, you do not show a gang sign. You are a loser. So for your enjoyment, a funny little song about…white chicks and gang signs.

So I stumbled across this website [lovegodsway.org] that appears to be run by an individual (Donnie Davies) who is clearly outside his fucking mind. I really don’t even want to associate him with fundamentalism because it would be a disservice to fundamentalists everywhere. The entire website is a fucking disaster. The language he uses is embarrassing. And when I say “language”, I don’t mean expletives. For example, Double D uses this sentence on the home page…“All the attention and new followers has corporate very, very excited…We have a lot of hot stuff coming down the pipe…”. Very, very excited? …hot stuff coming down the pipe? What kind of asshole actually talks like that? Donnie Davies would be that asshole.
James Brown, the ‘Godfather of Soul’
December 26, 2006
Early Monday morning on Christmas 2006, the music world lost one of the greatest influences it has ever been fortunate enough to see. James Brown died at Atlanta’s Emory Crawford Long Hostpital of congestive heart failure due to pneumonia, saying “I’m going away tonight.” Brown was 73.
Brown - known vastly as “the Godfather of Soul,” “The Hardest Working Man in Show Business,” “Soul Brotha Number One,” and “Mr. Dynamite” - was known for his electric on stage presence and show stopping performances. His traditional show closing, drop to his knees and wail, is indelible.
Brown who worked the “chitlin circuit” in his early days with the Famous Flames (renamed the J.B.’s later), finally made the crossover from Gospel R&B to pop culture with his “Live at the Apollo” in 1963 (one of the greatest live albums ever recorded).
To this day J.B. has a resounding, deep, rich and linguring influence on music today. He set the blueprint for funk, disco and hip-hop. In an interview in 2003, Brown always confident and aware of his accomplishments said this, “Disco is James Brown, hip-hop is James Brown, rap is James Brown; you know what I’m saying? You hear all the rappers, 90 percent of their music is me.”
James Brown is and always will be the toughest act to follow.

SNL SKIT…HILARIOUS!
December 19, 2006
So if you were like me, and didn’t go out on Saturday night. Instead you stayed at home with your daughter, and/or son, and caught SNL. I haven’t seen a show since Will Ferrell resurrected Harry Carey for the last time. Luckily for me, I guess, my fiance is still a really big fan and she had me tape the show while she was out with her friends for the night. Justin Timberlake was the host. Up until that show, I really didn’t care for J.T. (as his fans call him) one way or the other. But after sitting there for an hour and a half, completely entertained by him, I have converted over. I am now a fan. There was one particular skit that I found extremely funny.
Be prepared, completely unexpected…But freaking great. ENJOY.
