Philly Welcomes Back Iverson
March 20, 2008
Philadelphia sports fans get a bad rap from the general public. We cheered when Michael Irvin received a neck injury during a game against the Eagles, threw snowballs at Santa, booed Donovan McNabb when he was drafted. But the truth is, we are no worse than other fans around the country. Cleveland fans threw beer bottles during a game a few years back and no one complains about how bad they are as fans. The difference between Philly fans and the rest of you, is that we are educated, outspoken, and dedicated. We care when you suck and we want you to know it. Athletes get too many free passes in life, but not in this city. Thanks in a big way to Angelo Cataldi and the the WIP morning team. But last night the fans showed you why we are truly the greatest around. Just ask A.I.
